1-18-2026 Last Year Goals Review
I was not able to secure a full time job as DevOps or cloud engineer but I have taken a lot of steps to accomplish this such as many networking events, conferences, I got a Mentor and completed a career development seminar at Northeastern Illinois University.
I was able to Graduate and gain the Achievement of Magna Cum Laude, something that I was not expecting, but I committed and was able to learn and graduate with those honors.
I kept doing labs and courses to keep up with my education and keep a learning mindset.
Even tough I gain some weight I am still on a right track
5/16/2025 Today was the Big event. I graduated from Northeastern Illinois University. What a great achievement. I was able to meet my goals of maintaining a great GPA of 3.77. Not easy when balancing a 40h job and six classes. but with an incredible effort and support I was able to accomplish this.

Furthermore, I had the invaluable opportunity to gain practical experience through a summer internship at CDW. This role provided me with hands-on experience working with a Kubernetes cluster and implementing security measures utilizing Open Policy Agent.
While I did not achieve my weight loss goal of 12 pounds, I successfully lost 8 pounds and maintained a consistent weight throughout the year. This accomplishment underscores my commitment to personal well-being and highlights the importance of consistent effort.

04/26/2023 Still applying for Junior DevOps roles I had various phone calls and am (hopefully) waiting for even more. In the meantime, I am studying and practicing what I learned. For example, my last project was on Python. I created a script using OpenAI's API to prompt it to create more Python scripts on its own. Making it a great automation tool. here is the code of all the Python practice I did including the mentioned ChatGPT script
04/10/2023 Last week was Easter, had a great time with family and friends, I am still working on finding a job. I am receiving calls and applying for more. I am hopeful that something will turn up soon. In the meantime, I am working on personal projects to improve and learn about DevOps technologies and tools. I have some ideas for my next projects such as a Python automation tool, Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, Pushing the image to docker, and more I will have them on my Projects Page in the future Ideas section.Β Β
04/01/2023 Today, I started to create this web page. It is simple but powerful. Even though I am receiving calls from possible employers, I am confident that this web page will take me to the next level and give me an edge compared to other applicants and land me a job, or at least more interviews.
03/18/2023 - 03/19/2023 Participated in the Illinois Squash championships. I got 2nd place in the 4.0 Category. This was also good since I found a new place to play on Saturdays and I will now play more often. I am sure that next year I will play in the 4.5 Category. Let's hope there are more tournaments during the year to keep improving my game.
03/17/2023 Today was my last day at Revature LLC, although it was a short experience, it was a very good experience. I learned a lot and it took me on a path that I want to pursue as a DevOps Engineer. What I liked most about this company was the trainers and the staff was very helpful. They helped me to prepare for a moment like this with interviews, resume building, and a lot of experience in the field. Thanks so much.
