I'm Jose Ignacio Rivas, and I'm excited to contribute my skills to the Cyber Security field. My fascination with technology re-emerged in 2022, specifically through my exploration of cloud, infrastructure, and security tools. It was during this time that I discovered my true calling: building and maintaining secure digital environments. I thrive on the challenge of keeping threat actors out and ensuring the integrity of vital systems like firewalls, pipelines, and virtual machines.

I proudly completed my Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security from Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU) this May, graduating magna cum laude with an impressive 3.77 GPA. My internship as an Associate Consultant Engineer (ACE) at CDW provided me with invaluable experience, specifically in learning, implementing, and documenting advanced Kubernetes cluster security. I am particularly drawn to Security Analyst roles, where I can apply my analytical abilities and technical knowledge to proactively protect organizations from evolving cyber threats.

 In addition to my technical expertise, I am committed to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices. I am also part of ISSA and Raices Cyber to meet great people and keep up with industry news. I hold 4 certificates:

1. Google Cybersecurity Certificate

2. AWS cloud practitioner.

4. Azure administrator. (Expired)
